Meet Bohdi — our young, goofy, loyal boy with steel blue eyes who keeps us laughing every single day.

Bohdi first came to us through Love’s Legacy Rescue, who shared that he had been struggling in boarding and starting to decline. We were honestly apprehensive about taking on another dog—especially another Husky. Space, time, and resources are always things we have to weigh carefully here at the ranch.

But then Bohdi arrived and the moment he reunited with his buddy Freeda, we saw a spark in him that made the decision for us.
What started as a temporary foster request quickly turned into something more permanent.

Bohdi is very goofy, and sometimes that goofy enthusiasm gets the best of him. He’ll tumble right off an elevated bed mid-play session with Freeda like it never happened, pop back up, and keep going as if it were all part of the plan.

He’s affectionate, loyal, and already deeply attached to us.

Bohdi now shares a kennel with our golden retriever Mango, whose calm demeanor while in a kennel gives him the reassurance he needs. Bohdi does have a bit of separation anxiety, and having Mango nearby helps him settle and feel safe.

We were told Bohdi was “impossible to potty train.”

So far, that has not been our experience. There were a few early accidents on his bedding, but we chalked that up to adjusting to new surroundings—or simply not being able to hold it overnight. Since then, he has been learning our routine and doing well.

We are incredibly grateful to Love’s Legacy Rescue for trusting us with Bohdi and for making a very generous donation that allowed us to enhance our fencing—helping keep both Bohdi and Freeda safe here at the ranch.

Sometimes the dogs we hesitate to take in…end up being exactly the ones meant to stay.

And Bohdi?

He fits right in—goofy tumbles, loyal heart, and all.
