Volunteer Application
PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING
Lucky Ones Ranch is home to more than 120 rescued animals who depend on consistent care 365 days a year.
Volunteering here is not primarily about petting, cuddling, or spending time with animals. It is work. A typical shift may involve preparing and distributing food, cleaning pens, scooping manure, scrubbing water containers, washing dishes, moving hay and feed, sorting produce, and completing whatever chores are necessary that day.
Reliability is one of the most important qualities we look for in a volunteer. We operate with a small volunteer team. When someone commits to a shift and doesn't show up, their work doesn't disappear โ another volunteer, or one of the ranch founders, has to do it instead. The animals still need to be fed, watered, medicated, and cleaned up after.
For that reason, we're looking for people who can realistically commit to at least one two-hour shift every week for a minimum of six months. Please consider your work schedule, family obligations, transportation, vacations, and other commitments before applying.
If you're looking for an occasional activity for spare time, Lucky Ones Ranch probably isn't the right fit. If you're looking for meaningful work, aren't afraid to get dirty, can be counted on, and want to be part of a team responsible for the daily care of more than 120 animals โ we'd love to hear from you.
