Here is a list of Lucky Ones Ranch events and community appearances for the month of May 2023 :
May 4th: First Taco Thursday Night! We had many sponsors, volunteers and friends join us for the first of many taco nights to continue throughout the summer.
May 5th: Rosie & Edgar groomed by Lindsay of Doggie Designs. Chowder received an Adequan injection to help him with his weak hind legs. Bentley and Henry received acupuncture to help with their senior aches and pains.
May 6th: We hosted our first FREE dog training for sponsors and the public with Gwen Davidson of Canine Construction Dog training.
May 7th: 13 pigs had their hooves and tusks trimmed - $1300.
May 12th: Dr. K - performed a dental on Ziggy, sedated Alyah for the farrier and gave Sully an antibiotic injection. Vet visit - $474.
Farrier trimmed 8 horses - $400.
Henry & Bentley had acupuncture treatments - $436.
May 13th: Rosette’s ONE year anniversary with LOR.
May 18th: Sully was admitted to Loomis Basin Equine Center for a mass removal. We later discovered it was Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Surgery - $4800.
May 20th: First Paint Pawty Fundraiser with Rachel’s Pet Portraits raised $500.
May 21st: Boy Scout Troop - Pack 50 from Sacramento enjoyed a free ranch tour. We discussed how we care for our wide variety of animals.
May 24th: Celebrated Dodger’s 10th Birthday!
May 30th: Celebrated Leyla’s 5th Birthday!
Pet Therapy with the dogs: Three Pacifica Senior Living visits / One visit to Kreative Community Solutions. (an adult day care for mentally / physically disabled adults )
