October 1: Barbados Sheep Rehoming

Assisted a local family in re-homing three Barbados Sheep after the passing of their mother. Although LOR could not take them on, Thao & Vince assessed the sheep's demeanor and health, ensuring they found a safe home nearby.

October 4: Bentley's Acupuncture

Bentley received acupuncture treatment at Southampton Pet Hospital in Benicia, costing $232.95.

October 6: Grooming Day

Grooming appointment for Chowder & Edgar, totaling $70.00.

October 7: Edgar's GOTCHA DAY

Celebrated Edgar's 'GOTCHA DAY,' marking his one-year anniversary with us at LOR.

October 9: Henry's 14th Birthday Bash

Celebrated Henry's 14th Birthday.

October 12: Senior Living Visit

Visit to Pacifica Senior Living featuring Henry, Mikey, and Holly.

October 13: Hay Delivery & Vet Visits

Atkinson Hay delivery ($1,270.00)

Farrier visit for Aliyah, Ziggy, and Marley, sedation and re-check by Dr. Kristich for Ziggy & Marley ($340)

Antibiotic injection for Sully

Acupuncture for Henry & Bentley at Southampton Vet Hospital ($466.00).

October 14: Fundraising Paint Party

Successfully hosted a Paint Party Fundraiser, raising a total of $125.00.

October 17: Raw Dog Food Purchase

Purchased raw food selections for the dogs at Mad Butcher Meats in Sacramento, totaling $303.00.

October 18: Sully's Surgery

Sully underwent his second mass removal surgery at Loomis Basin Vet Hospital, with a cost of $1,839.00.

October 20: Grooming for Henry & Gabriel

Henry & Gabriel received grooming services, incurring a cost of $70.00.

October 21: Library Storytime

LOR Volunteer Christine, accompanied by Precious the llama, read several children's books to over 117 adults and children at the outside garden of the Downtown Vacaville Library.

October 26: Senior Living Revisit

Pacifica Senior Living visit with Henry, Mikey, and Holly.

October 27: Sully's Checkup & Kevin

Sully was re-checked by his doctor at Loomis Basin, and bandaging was changed, costing $284.00. 

Our 11 ½ year old guinea fowl, Kevin, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.

October 28: Farmers Market Booth

LOR had a booth featuring several animals at the season grand finale of the Vacaville Farmers Market in downtown Vacaville.

October 29: Gotcha Day Celebration

Gotcha Day for the three Guinea Fowl: George, Elaine, and Susan (named after the characters of the TV sitcom Seinfeld) and for Fifi & Bindi (Red Bourbon/Blue Slate turkeys).
