September has been a month filled with meaningful events and community engagements, and we are excited to share our updates with you.

September 1: Hay Delivery & Acupuncture for Julia and Bentley

  • We received a hay delivery from Atkinson Hay, securing our animals' food supply. This essential expense amounted to $1,270.

  • Julia and Bentley received acupuncture treatment at Southampton Pet Hospital, totaling $191.03.

September 8: Grooming & Acupuncture

  • Chowder and Stevie enjoyed a grooming session, ensuring they look their best and feel comfortable. This grooming cost $80.

  • Henry and Bentley received acupuncture at Southampton Pet Hospital, incurring a cost of $465.90.

September 12: Sully's Skin Cancer Treatment

  • Dr. Kristich removed more of Sully's skin cancer wound, ensuring his health and comfort. This procedure amounted to $589.

September 13: Special Tour & Pet Therapy Visit

  • Lucky Ones Ranch provided a heartwarming private tour for a developmentally disabled adult.

  • We embarked on our first pet therapy visit to the Solano House, where Henry, Holly, Mikey, and Rosie brought smiles to the residents. We're delighted to share that we've already been invited back!

September 14: Pacifica Senior Living Visit

  • Henry, Mikey, and Holly made another heartwarming visit to Pacifica Senior Living, spreading joy among the residents.

September 20: Sully's Wound Re-check

  • Dr. Krstich conducted a re-check of Sully's skin cancer wound, ensuring his continued well-being. This visit cost $229.

September 21: Grooming for Henry & Holly

  • Henry and Holly enjoyed a grooming session. This grooming cost $80.

September 22: Grooming & Acupuncture

  • Chowder, Stevie, and Tommy received grooming, ensuring their well-being. This grooming session cost $115.

  • Bentley received acupuncture treatment at Southampton Pet Hospital, totaling $232.95.

September 23 & 24: Lafayette Art & Wine Festival

  • We participated in the Lafayette Art & Wine Festival, raising a remarkable $1,200 through generous donations. During the two-day event, Precious, Baaxter, Hutch, Baguette, Stevie, Fonzie, Holly, Henry, and Rosie had the pleasure of meeting patrons and sharing our mission.

September 29: Acupuncture, Horse Farrier Visit, & Taco Friday

  • Bentley and Henry received acupuncture treatment at Southampton Pet Hospital, incurring a cost of $465.90.

  • Our beloved horses, Strider, Leo, Josephine, Chloe, Dylan, and Ethel received necessary hoof trimming during a visit by the farrier. This cost $300.

  • We hosted Taco Friday, a delightful gathering of 80 guests, including sponsors, volunteers, and their guests.
